The idea that the darker the chocolate, the better it is isn't the whole truth. Milk and white chocolates deserve a little more respect, says Trish Deseine

A really quick and easy chocolate tart which needs no cooking. Made with plain chocolate and no added sugar it's a perfect dinner party treat for adults It contains no raw eggs, so is suitable for children, although you may wish to omit the alcohol and use milk chocolate for a sweeter finish.....

I love this recipe. It comes out just as good as any other melt in the middle chocolate pudding you might buy in a supermarket. It's a real show stopper of a dessert - great for a dinner party or a romantic dessert for two. Just make sure you do grease the moulds before hand, otherwise the fondant mixture will get stuck to the sides and you'll end up with a lot of runny chocolate.

Pasta for pudding? It might sound a little crazy, but give it a try and prepare for a very pleasant surprise

Definitely one for a special dinner party. With its sophisticated, sweet chocolate pastry crust, unctuous ganache filling, and caramelised salted pecans, this tart will stop all conversation for all the right reasons
