The eagerly anticipated truffle season is approaching us….

Hailed “the diamond of the kitchen” by French connoisseur Brillat-Savarin, truffles, aka genus Tuber are highly regarded delicacies so rare and of extraordinary value that the market is more exciting than ever.

We are fast approaching autumn and due to an excellent harvesting season brought on by ideal soil and weather conditions we at London Fine Foods are able to offer the general public exquisite truffles sooner than predicted.

From mid September we bring you the highly anticipated White Alba trufflethe white veining and marbling throughout produces an aroma and taste unique and significantly more potent than any other. In addition to this the Black Perigord will also be available from November and is renowned for its poignant, earthy flavour.

Our buyer has direct contacts with the farmers and suppliers in Istria, the Piedmont and Alba regions enabling us to offer the gourmet consumer quality truffles at rivalled prices before they go onto mainstream sale.

The prices of our truffles are dependant on the quantity and quality in season. Please find high resolution images attached. For further information contact Claire Wells or Kenneth Benning on 0207 498 7089 alternatively email kennethbenning@londonfinefoods.co.uk

London Fine Foods Group has been supplying the highest quality luxury foods via the web since 2003. We go beyond ordinary expectations to source produce that you’ll be challenged to find in your local supermarket. We believe that the general public should have the opportunity to recreate Michelin quality food in their own home.

Summer salad with a sprinkling of edible flowers

Summer salad with a sprinkling of edible flowers

This salad can be adapted to whatever ingredients you may have in your kitchen. Don’t worry about using exact quantities, I believe salads can be made according to creativity and good eye measurement.

A little bit about me...

Brought to you from the same people who created Quintessentially Gourmand, part of the Quintessential Group; London Fine Foods is an online shopping experience of pure culinary indulgence. Our ethos is to go beyond ordinary expectations to source produce that you’ll be challenged to find in your local supermarket; produce that’s not only incomparable in taste but organically farmed. Competitive in not only quality but price; we are able to provide numberous products such as freshly picked truffles straight from the Albas region, before they go onto mainstream sale. One of our suppliers alone provides at least 54 Michelin starred restaurants on a daily basis. We believe that the general public should have the opportunity to recreate Michelin quality food in their own home. From typical delicacies of caviar, truffles and champagne to avocado oil and edible flowers – delicious sprinkled over a summer salad. Please feel free to browse our website alongside our sister company. When arranging an event Q.Gourmand have an unrivalled contact base of top chefs, caterers, waiting and bar staff at your disposal. http://www.quintessentiallygourmand.com I’ll be adding some recipes, so keep a watchful eye out. Happy truffle hunting, Claire http://www.quintessentiallygroup.com/
