A little bit about me...

American now living in Hertfordshire. I'm afraid my cooking skills may never recover, but I can't give in to that fear, can I? So I struggle on with the metric system, strange grocery store products stored in the supermarket according to organizational principles unknown to me, and trying to grow things in a garden so different from what I'm used to that it might as well be the surface of the moon.

Any hobbies?

Cooking, reading, writing, gardening, in between cups of coffee and tea

Whats your favourite resturant and what should I order?

No favorites in England yet. I hope I eventually find a favorite!

Your usual breakfast?

Coffee or tea and toast. Greek yogurt with honey, sprinkled with granola, if I have all those things. In summer, maybe the Chilled Berry Soup from the original Moosewood Cookbook.

Your ultimate comfort food?

Since moving to England, Mexican food has become the ultimate for me.

What cookbooks should every member have?

Current faves: Everyday Mexican by Rick Bayless and Spooning with Rosie by Rosie Lovell
